Raptors of the Rockies Coupons, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2020
With permits in hand, Kate founded Raptors of the Rockies, began rehabilitating injured and/or orphaned birds of prey and started educating schools and the public about raptors. Since then, Kate and birds have appeared in more than 1300 programs for over 112,000 audience members young and old alike. They provide up to 80 programs per year across Western Montana and Idaho. Raptors of the Rockies hosted the international Raptor Research Foundation Conference in 2008. Attendees enjoyed five days of papers, symposia, keynotes, workshops, field trips, and a Birds And Art Show at the Monte Dolack Gallery, organized by Kate. In addition, she served as the Chair of the Education Committee for the Raptor Research Foundation for three years. She is also the author of three books on raptors with Mountain Press Publishing, with a fourth "in the works."
