Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo Coupons, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2020
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo started as a private project of Joey Ward of Gulf Shores, and opened in June 1989 as Zooland Animal Park. The Ward family created the Zoo Foundation Inc.in 1991 to operate the zoo, at the same time donating the 17 acres that make up the zoo today. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is tucked away just blocks from the beach and is home to more than 300 animals including bears, lions, tigers, monkeys, macaws and more. There’s also a petting zoo, reptile house, aviary and daily animals shows in the summer.
